About Chester River Press

 

Founded in 2007 by Chestertown Old Book Co. in Chestertown on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Chester River Press publishes fine press limited edition books in letterpress and offset.

 

The Press also specializes in custom designed and letterpress printed wedding invitations, announcements, broadsides and event keepsakes.

 

Chester River Press, working in partnership with Deep Wood Press in Mancelona, Michigan, won the prestigious  2010 Carl Hertzog Award for Excellence in Design for Heart of Darkness. Also in 2010 the press published a dual volume set of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey in Greek and English with 52 specially commisoned vase drawings by Avery Lawrence and a Foreword by the eminant Alexander Pope scholar, Steven Shankman.
